Our client shared the kitchen with her flatmate and wanted the space to be user-friendly for both of them, with ingredients and cookware more accessible.
To organise the shared kitchen
Our client and flatmate loved cooking and wanted the cooking zone to be more streamlined with utensils, pots and pans easier to access. They wanted ingredients to be easier to find and be able to monitor stock-levels.
In the cooking zone, we used turntables to store oils, vinegars and sauces close to the cooker so they were easier to grab. We used pantry boxes to separate categories and created a backstock area above the fridge to free up cupboard space and improve stock rotation.
We moved their serveware into the new display cabinet so it was closer to the dining table and not taking up valuable space in the cooking zone.
